Chief Engineer (MOW) Railroad Roadmaster

Duties:
(Multiple positions in freight and commuter)
- Coordinate and plan ordinary maintenance and program track work with other departments to maximize track work and train operations.
- Perform track inspections and monitor track inspectors to ensure quality inspections and safe train operations.
- Follow and monitor work practices, safety related issues to improve quality and performance.
- Monitor and enforce FRA compliance along with company policies, rules and standards.
- Plan and provide information for future track improvements with Chief Engineer.
- Oversee program gangs and third party work being performed on territory.
- Manage labor, tools and materials for field forces to perform track maintenance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in Maintenance of Way (MOW) track standards and policies.
- Prior supervisory experience in track maintenance.
- Familiar with FRA track standards.
- Familiar with and able to apply safety rules and procedures.
- Must have MOW experience and MOW supervisory experience
- Very strong knowledge of FRA regulations that apply to track safety standards.

Machinist

Duties:
- Inspect, maintain and repair locomotives, including air brakes, diesel engines, air compressors, wheels and trucks.
- Responsible for the safety objectives, goals and program of the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable safety rules and regulations
- Promotes safe work practices as well as maintains and fosters a safe work environment.
- Perform required FRA inspections, quarterly, annual, etc.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Possess a Journeyman’s card in the International Association of Machinists (preferably a Railroad local) or possess a minimum of four (4) years of experience performing the work of a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with a railroad.
- Able to use welding equipment.
- 2-5 years experience.

Chief Transportation Officer

Duties:
- Promote quick, safe and polite service throughout all daily activities.
- Follow CFRC Rules and special instructions.
- Review all performance reports from trains and Assess all train performance reports and discuss regularly with host railways rail traffic control centers as well as railway operating officers to guarantee smooth daily performance and work of the train operations, respond immediately if the operating plans change.
- Be a good leader and direct the necessary information to Dispatchers and Customer Service employees working on all train operations.
- Execute reviews on all operating Dispatchers and make sure incidents are being reported and looked into with the correct response; this will prevent any recurrence of the specific incident by making sure a fully report is given to Chief Transportation Officer.
- Make certain all Dispatchers and Customer Service employees have the appropriate amount of training in order to keep a high level of employee compliance and competency.

Qualifications:
- Possess a High School diploma
- At least five (5) years of dispatching experience combined with 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role
- Familiar with the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and operating rules and regulations
- English communication skills, written and spoken, are excellent

Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Professional

Duties:
- Act as a leader by establishing a safe and healthy workplace that support the company and federal, state and local safety policies.
- Create and establish emergency safety procedures.
- Supervise, check and assess all procedures pertaining to safety training with all personnel.
- Look into any work situation involving any company mishap, and write up a full report; you will then develop solutions, along with the engineering department, to prevent a similar issue from happening again.
- Work with the company engineers to create tests to learn more and better safety measures
- Write technical reports, for the customer, to record any incidents that may have happened within the system.
- Execute an analysis of job hazards and then create guidelines that will promote safety in the workplace for each department of the company (employees, contractractors, equipment, tools and special projects).
- Assist with technical specifications by providing knowledge, equipement assessment and overall performance for safe operations within the company.
- Inspect company procedure, process documents and employees for compliance with, both, internal and external obligations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Health and safety preferred, but a Bachelors degree in related field will be accepted.
- Possess five (5) years of experience in a Health and Safety role, having implemented new safety policies and procedures.
- Experience working in industries such as transportation, construction or public organizations
- Familiar with OSHA standards
- Leadership skills are strong
- English communication, both written and spoken, is excellent.
